"It was worth it, because it is something real, that didn’t exist before you made it exist: a sentient work of art and power and sensitivity, that speaks of this world and your fellow human beings place within it. Isn’t that beautiful?" - Paul Graham
I'm a freelance photographer focused on enviornmental portraiture, travel, food culture, and documentary work. I am endlessly curious about community, culture, identity and the environment and how all of these elements intersect, which is what much of my work is rooted in. I'm mostly self-taught, but spent time later in life learning at the International Center of Photography in NYC, which propelled me into my professional career. Along the way, I received a degree in Gender & Women's Studies, taught environmental education, managed sustainable food programs, led trips for teenagers in Central America, and continue to help people navigate their careers.
When I'm not shooting you can find me on a yoga mat, exploring a new hike, cooking up a meal to share, or restlessly planning my next trip.
Once in a while, I also photograph love.
