I'm a freelance photographer currently based in Washington, D.C. specializing in portraiture, travel, event and documentary work.

I have had the privilege of exploring and working in diverse communities, which has been the driving fore behind my work. I focus on documenting a sense of place, self perception and cultural identity.

Before pursuing my freelance career, I studied Gender & Women's Studies at the University of Wisconsin where I focused on health and identity.  I've worked as an outdoor educator, developed sustainable agriculture programs, traveled throughout Latin America, and built teams at social impact organizations. I continued to study photography later in life at the International Center of Photography, which propelled me into my professional work.

I'm available locally and on the road for portraiture, editorial work, events and community partnerships.
