On Process: Artist Sondra Bogdonoff

Sondra Bogdonoff discuss her intricate weaving process in her studio in Portland, ME. From Sondra's artist statement: "The constraints of the loom both inspire and limit. I enjoy working at the edge of possibilities – to see how I can use the loom, how far I can push the way it orders the threads and builds a structure. I love the process of constructing a whole built on a series of separate decision points – weave structure, color, density, tension, etc. Each decision retains its own identity yet contributes to creating something singular and unique. Taking work off the loom is always a discovery."
